Merchants processing 500+ orders per month qualify for volume discounts on delivery fees. Enterprise accounts get a locked rate reviewed every 3 months and a dedicated commercial contact.
When do merchants start paying?
Starter is designed to help merchants get onboarded and operational at no cost. Delivery fees apply from the first live order. Platform transaction fees start once delivery operations are active.
Is the fuel surcharge fixed?
No. The fuel surcharge is reviewed monthly against the AA/SAPIA fuel price index. The current rate is 7%. Merchants are notified of any change before it takes effect.
What happens if a delivery fails?
If the driver did not show, the merchant pays nothing. If the recipient was unavailable or the address was incorrect, the base rate of R 39 is charged to cover the driver's trip.
Are there peak-hour surcharges?
Yes. A 20% surcharge applies Mon–Fri 07:00–09:00 and 16:00–19:00, and Sat 10:00–14:00. A 30% surcharge applies between 20:00 and 06:00. These are shown at checkout before confirming an order.
Can larger merchants get custom delivery pricing?
Yes. Merchants processing 500+ orders per month qualify for volume pricing. Enterprise accounts receive a fully negotiated rate locked for 3 months at a time.
